What to expect from the Shaman class on EZServer (2023):

The Shaman is a hybrid class and in some ways similar to the Druid. They are both support classes with various buffs and heal spells. While the Druid can wear the casters version of Earring of the Ages, which makes it deal more spell damage, the Shaman uses the melee version of the earring, effectively doing more melee damage.

For the most part, Shamans are used as healers. Spells like Breath of Nature from Halls of Honor and Spell: Acquittal of the Tribunal from Anguish works quite well for keeping tank alive. Once you get to Veeshan's Peak and get your Golden Showers of Norrath you can cast an area of effect rain healing spell that heals your entire raid in waves. This is a really strong spell that helps your paladins with the healing work. Since you can target a mob when using the healing spell, you can also add another strong ability to make the Shaman do damage as well as healing the raid. The Idol of the Jailed is an item off Venril Sathir and it does some solid damage when you click it. Once you get some decent gear, the Shaman is also not half bad with it's melee damage output, so it's recommended to have it attack NPCs once you don't need to target a PC to heal.

As a support class the Shaman has quite a few spells that can benefit your group and raids. One of the hallmark Shaman buffs is the Spell: Spirit of the Kraken, which will add a spell damage proc to the characters in your group. Another buff that will increase your groups damage is the spell Ancestral Grudge. The spell Champion modifies skill damage, so that one may also be worth using for you. Spell: Malos Malignance can also be used to increase incoming spell damage on an NPC. The Shaman's Epic Augment casts a MGB'able buff that slightly increases the targets hit points. While this can be useful in lower tiers, the added hit points from the buff is pretty negligible in higher tiers.

Primary Uses

• Main use for Shaman is healing. The healing spells to use are Breath of Nature from Halls of Honor and Spell: Acquittal of the Tribunal from Anguish. Once you get to Veeshan's Peak and get your Golden Showers of Norrath, the AoE rain healing spell.
• Spell: Focus of Healing and Crystalline Idol of Healing Boon from Temple of Veeshan) increases your healing.
• Your damage in the early tiers will not be great, and besides, most of the time you would need to have your tank as target for healing. In Veeshan's Peak you can pick up Idol of the Jailed and that will give you a significant damage improvement as well as the ability to focus on doing melee damage since your new healing spell Spell: Golden Showers of Norrath can be used while having an NPC as target.
• Epic click: "Ancestral Honor" gives a hit point buff
• Spell: Spirit of the Kraken adds damage proc to the group
• Spell: Ancestral Grudge increases attack and chance to double attack for your group.
• Spell: Malos Malignance to increase incoming spell damage on an NPC and Champion to modify skill damage.
