What to expect from Bards on EZServer (2023):
Bards are a melee class that wear plate armor and can dual wield weapons that you can augment Ninjastrike Augs. Their melee damage is not great and they are currently surpassed by most melee classes if you only compare their melee damage output. Bards on EZServer have access to many different songs, but in all honesty, most of the songs are not going to give you much noticable help in the long run. That's not to say Bards are useless by any means.
Primary Uses
- The Bards strongest ability is the song called One Man Band, off the epic augment they receive when progressing through the tiers. It is a raid wide song that increases all your raid members spell damage, as well as adding some mana and endurance regen. The amount of spell damage added depends on which rank of the Epic Augment you currently posess. This song is very useful if you have casters in your raid, as the song stacks with all new major mods to spell damage and will certainly make your casters nuke harder. The spell damage will also have an effect on all your other characters weapon damage procs, so while Bards are not great solo DPS, they certainly grant a good overall DPS boost to your raid.
- The song Song: Tempest Blade line adds a proc to every member of the group and you can pick up several ranks of this song over the course of EZ's tiers. Don't expect too much increase in damage overall though and be careful using it as it tends to put the Bard high on the aggro list.
- Another useful song is the non custom song called Kazumi's Note of Preservation, which gives you and your group 18 seconds with invulnerability. This ability can help you when your tank is pulling, or with certain boss fights/mechanisms on the server.
- To further improve the damage output, you may want to use the following abilities: Fierce Eye, Deftdance Discipline and Thousand Blades
- Retribution's Edge which has a click that adds Furious Discipline.
- Ultimate Armor Plate Bracer, single target ressurrection click.
