There is currently one expedition that can be started by hailing the miner: Catacombs of Dranik
Catacombs of Dranik
The Dranik expedition is located on three separate sections, each of which is a unique zone. There are a series of 2 bosses or tasks which must be completed to move on to each new "tier" of the expedition. Dranik also drops essences from T1-T4, along with all weapons, armor, and spells from those tiers.
Upon completion of this expedition, hailing the miner in Stonehive awards all members of the active group/raid receive 8 Hive Shards.
Bloodmoon Temple
To enter the Bloodmoon Temple, go to Stonehive and speak with "Bloodmoon Temple Ancient" located in the north part of the zone (outside of the main "hive" building).
Upon completion of this expedition, hailing the "Bloodmoon Temple Ancient" in Stonehive awards all members of the active group/raid receive 4 Hive Shards.
Old Blackburrow
To enter Old Blackburrow, go to Sunderock Springs and speak with Socho.
Upon completion of this expedition, all memebers of the active group/raid receive 30 Hive Shards.
Also upon completion there is a 2 day lockout timer for all group/raid members
Bug Note

Completion of the Proving Ground expedition grants 15 shards, money and random prizes like Charm Prism Upgrades or Greater Lightstones.
