Clerics function similarly to Paladins on EZServer in that their primary task is to heal the group, via their Epic weapon's group heal combat proc.
One advantage they have over the Paladin, is that while their weapons proc the same amount of healing, they get the spell "Amplify Healing", which increases healing spells by an additional 50% over the Paladin's "Focus of Healing".
However, the Cleric is not able to take the same amount of damage as the Paladin.
The Cleric is able to cast a group HP buff that stacks with all other group HP buffs Druid's Oak, and Shaman's Epic Effect. For this reason, it may be worth leveling up a cleric, even if you do not plan to use him just for the group buff.
