Talk:Cleric
Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3.
I like the use of the comment code in wiki HTML, that's cool - haven't used that before. I gotcha Kruciel on the importance of Cleric, thanks for the updates. Are you copy pasting the code from word or something? You're leaving the "br" breaks which randomly inserts breaks.
Talk pages could prove to be helpful with some updates
Kruciel - also, you use the word "cooldown" - I've not heard that in context before. You mean mitigation effectively? If that's a word for it, I stand corrected.

Yeah, that's what I meant, sorry. The term has grown legs of its own since EQ days. In other MMOs cooldown is a very lax term, referring to abilities or spells with long cooldown times: mitigation for tanks, extra damage for DPS, extra healing for healers, raid wide mitigation spells for healers, and the time to recast a certain skill or spell. For instance, I might yell at my tank "I just got interrupted, I got nothing for you! Use a cooldown!" To him, this means "oh crap, use as many mitigation tools as possible" GCD or Global Cooldown refers to the 1 second cooldown between being able to activate abilites, such as Scepter of Time having a 1 sec recast, but in newer MMOs that 1 second would lock you out of all abilities and spells.
About the random breaks, I was just using the preview feature over and over to bump the text from scrolling the full screen. Not too familiar with how the wiki works yet, I just have noobie xtml things I remember from my college days lol, was typing everything in the wiki edit box itself. Any critiquing is appreciated, I like to learn :)
Now that I see how it looks when you do it, I guess the browser just auto-adjusts it just fine.
Back on the topic of Cleric though. Their group healing qualities fall off hard around t5 and they never recover. Even with Amplify Healing, Paladins run the server after that point. Cleric then reverts to being an auto-follow caster, using single target Over Raided Healing II and Tower of Vie III on the warrior as mitigation and patch heals between pally swings. Their t8 group heal does almost nothing for time being. Their multiplier from Amplify Healing is not doing anything close to what it should be, possibly because of the (Instant Spell Required) flag inside the buff itself, possibly it is not letting the spell amplify their heals properly.

Yeah - I'm always wary of adding things to the wiki (especially in "getting started" sections) that promote Cleric as comparable to the Paladin, since it's (IMO) clearly inferior - although the 10% mitigation bit is certainly worth noting. I want to essentially say "Paladin is better later on, but Cleric is still okay" - in the same way that I want to avoid saying that SK is an alternative to the Warrior, which IMO it is very much not.

Ah ha! Well hopefully I can convince Hate that Amplify Healing is busted and they will be comparable to Paladin again. It looks like their base heal amounts are set super low on purpose, in thinking that Amplify Healing will bridge the gap and make them comparable to Paladin, but that is not the case at the moment.
