General Discussion

Question regarding formatting. I'm not too familiar with mediawiki just yet, but is there a way to make a Next Page, Previous Page, Back Home type of button to apply to a set of pages? I know I could do this with a bunch of links but was just curious.

You can do things with plugins - but I don't have access to the backend anymore (or at least I don't know how to access it) now that Hate is hosting. A lot of Mediawiki is pretty primitive. This works though - talk pages don't have to be pretty - they're only used by the 4-5 of us.

Oh I wanted to make the buttons in regards to something like a boss chain (t7 and the Halloween zone), where the user would click Boss #1 for example and have the options to click "Next Boss -->" or "Go back to the Main Page for this zone". I guess one primitive way to do it would be to just make a ton of links to things that say "<--- Previous Boss" alignment left, "This Zone's Main Page" alignment center, "Next Boss --->" alignment right.

T10 discussions

With T10, I want to make sure that Hate's on board with the amount of information that we put out soon after release. I can email him, or any of you can ask - but want to make sure that we don't put "spoilers" in the first amount of time breaking into T10, and I'm not sure what the balance is of "spoilers" vs. not

I only intend on adding screenshot of spells and things like boss names etc. Not spawn mechanics or spoilers just yet. I uncovered quite a few in the final beta test =p

I'm sure you did - I don't play on Darpey and haven't for a while (although I probably will once T10 is out) but I was looking over my brother's shoulder as he was playing Darpey, and saw you spent quite a bit of time there during Beta. Yeah, I'm sure a proper map and spells would be fine, spawn mechanics not. I'll check with Hate, or direct him to this thread and have him put in his word

I agree on T10, although info spoiled on the boards I would say is fair game, people are going to find that just as easy (or easier) than on the wiki.

I'm fine with posting T10 gear/spells/whatever. My only request is that you avoid mechanics for a bit (month or so) and only post what you have unlocked. Darpey and Kruciel do have #fi access (finally fixed btw, thanks to Kruciel's diligence). So if you only own Pants of the Angry Gnome and Sleeves of the Angry Gnome, I would like to not see the entire set submitted by you. :-)

Halloween

Temporarily changed the front wiki page to have a top link to the three Halloween articles (including forum) - feel free to change the layout if you can think of a cleaner way to show it. *shrug*

Darpey, funny, I was thinking about tweaking those lines earlier this morning myself. Separate topic, we should clean up these talk pages periodically, we have lots of chatter now showing up on them some of which is pointless to continue keeping.

I know how you feel about annoying bold messages, Darpey =p but Halloween only has a few days left and I'm getting annoyed at the amount of questions in ooc sooo I made the link annoyingly obvious for people. I'll take it down November 2nd when it's over (unless Akka / Hate decide to extend it due to previous lag)

Commented out Halloween page and added redirect to Housegarden - seemed mostly redundant with Housegarden page - added forum links for 2014 and 2015 to Housegarden

On some wiki software with enough topics, 3+ I think, it adds a contents menu. That could be useful for organizing it.

I confirmed (by spamming this page) that we have a TOC created when this page reaches 4 topics. Moving forward, let's try to post under a broad topic for these discussion pages, that should help us moving forward.
