Shield of the Ages

Shield of the ages are created by combining the following into the magic box:

• 1-2 Essences
• 1-4 stones purchased from the merchant in the Crafter's Guild
• 1-2 Superior Lightstones
• Every 5th level (e.g. 1, 6, 11, 16,...) requires an Essence of Norrath

(specifics for the requirements for each shield can be found in the Crafter's Recipe Book available from the Crafter's Guild Merchant.

The Shield of Ages is a vital defensive item for a warrior. It provides a large amount of HP and Armor Class, but perhaps most importantly, it gives damage mitigation. Each 5th level of the shield gives a single percentage to mitigation (e.g. a SoTA 1 would give 1% mitigation, SoTA 2=1% mitigation, SoTA 6=2% mitigation, SoTA 26=6% mitigation)
