This guide is still fairly rough - Below is my best attempt at explaining the zone, but if you can add to this description, please do so. You don't even have to be signed in to edit, and don't worry about formatting. Thanks!

Progression

  • Kill lots of mobs = Hill Giant
  • Hill Giant = Completed Epic 9.0, Essence of Old Commons, Weapon, Eye (faction), and plat bags
  • Black Priest = Page (faction), Weapon, and plat bags
  • Turn in Eye (Hill Giant) or Page (Priest) to Shady Swashbuckler for faction
  • Buy armor patterns from merchants once you have enough faction
  • Combine armor patterns with drops in zone to create Old Commons armor (see "armor" table)

Accessories

For all Old Commons accessories (including shield):

  • Hail a refugee (they are usually up in public, as they are a timed spawn, and public does not depop - or sit in an instance for a long time)
  • /say follow
  • Lead refugee back to the zonein
    • The refugees have good regeneration and health, and can take one NPC hitting on them, but not many more than 1
    • If you get too far ahead of the refugee, they will stop, and you have to re-hail them
  • After they thank you for leading them to the zonein, hail them and a chest will appear
  • Attack and loot the chest for a random accessory (be careful with any class that does AoE damage, as you will likely aggro other NPCs)
