Instancing on EZ is very simple: just "/say instance" and follow the scripted chat window say-links and info.

  • NOTE! Money for the instances is no longer fed to a spawned or static waypoint summoned by the Summon Waypoint item
  • Instead, money is automatically taken from your inventory. (providing you have sufficient funds)

There are 3 types of instance: solo, guild and raid.

  • A Solo instance is just that: solo! However, it also acts as a group instance, allowing up to 5 other characters to enter as well.
    • While this type instance is slightly cheaper than the other two, it has its own issues, making it all in all usually not worth using.
      • NOTE! After 5 other characters have either been invited to, or entered a open solo instance, no more characters will be able to join, even if the first five are not in zone or online.
They will be the only ones able to re-enter by clicking the say-link with "/say instance list"
  • A Guild instance will automatically give all guild members access: When a Guild Instance is created, you will see a message that prompts other Guild members that it had been created, along with a link to immediately zone you into their instance.
    • /say instance list guild - to list all available guild instances.
    • Guild instances have no limit to characters you can have as members.
  • A Raid instance does not automatically give access to your raid, You will need to invite each member, or open the raid instance. Once all you characters are in the instance, it can be closed again if you wish to keep the instance private.
    • Raid instances are limited to 76 total characters.

How it works

/say instance to pull up the chat window instance interface, and follow the say-links, or to create manually

  • /say create [solo/raid/guild] instance confirm
Creates an instance of the current zone that you are in
  • /say create [solo/raid/guild] instance [zone_short_name] confirm
Does a remote instance create when you use zone short name ( some zones require you to be in zone to create instances, to avoid bypassing )

When you first create your instance, it is marked as a private (closed) instance in which others will need a direct invitation to join (see below).
If you wish to have this instance be public (open) so people can just, for example, "/say enter raid akkadius qrg", you need to mark it as open. "/say instance list". and click the (closed) link next to the zone name.
To invite specific players to a private (closed) instance...

  • /say solo invite (zone name) player1, player2, player3 etc
  • /say guild invite (zone name) player1, player2, player3 etc
for characters not in your guild ( eg. to loot a no-drop item rot )
  • /say raid invite (zone name) player1, player2, player3 etc

You must be added to someones instance in order to be able to enter it when it is private, however when it is public you can perform the "enter" syntax to enter their instance without invite.
For example, "/say enter [solo/guild/raid] Akkadius nexus". Alternatively, you can click the say-link in your "/say instance list" menu to enter an instance. Once an instance is created, you can delete your owned instance, however you have a 12 minute delay before you can create another instance. Every 10 minutes you can also repop an instance (resetting all spawns) by typing "/say repop instance", which will automatically charge whatever the cost was for a raid instance from your inventory.

One note, Many players with the free waypoint item will often create an instance for others to use, just politely ask in /ooc if platinum is short.

Duration

Instances last for 3 days from the point of creation, unless deleted by its creator. - a server reset could also remove all instances
