After being instructed to clear my browswer's image cache, I learned I'm not going crazy. Ignore all the deletion spam and carry on. =(

Yes - I had that same frustrating experience as well. The images that are named the same (even when they're actually different) won't reload on a computer unless you delete the cache. But you know that by now :)

I found that using the show preview option while editing will show you the new image.
